Monica Parker

Monica is a consultant with Triad Consulting Group. She has served as a Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School teaching the negotiation course for law students. She has been teaching leaders and helping teams have Difficult Conversations for two decades.

In addition to her consulting work, Monica is the director of diversity & inclusion and community outreach at the law firm Bracewell and resides in the DC metro area. She is also the author of What It Takes: How Women of Color Can Thrive within the Practice of Law (American Bar Association).

Monica is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School. She is known as something of a child whisperer. When asked one Thanksgiving what he was grateful for, Monica's young nephew Emerson, who had just learned how to write, wrote "Ama" (a combination of "Aunt" and "Monica"). However, she has learned that her negotiation expertise is no match for the skills of the toddler set. Monica has lost every negotiation she has ever had with Emerson.
