Doug Stone is a Co-Founder and Senior Advisor of Triad Consulting Group, and co-author of two New York Times bestsellers, Difficult Conversations and Thanks for the Feedback. 

For more than three decades, Doug has helped leaders and organizations navigate high-stakes conversations, negotiation, conflict, and feedback. His work has taken him across industries and around the world, advising senior leaders, teaching executives, and helping organizations build practical skills for handling the conversations that matter most. His writing has appeared in Harvard Business Review, The New York Times, Educational Leadership, and Rotman Management Journal, and he has shared his expertise through keynote addresses and television and radio appearances, including Oprah.

Doug spent nearly three decades at Harvard Law School and the Harvard Negotiation Project, where he taught negotiation and worked closely with Roger Fisher on the development of negotiation theory. He later served as Associate Director of the Harvard Negotiation Project. Doug began his career practicing transactional and regulatory banking law in Boston and New York. He holds a BA from Brown University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
